Research shows that most of the current coal mines in my country are shallow coal mines and are about to be exhausted. As a province with large coal resources in China, Shanxi's coal mining depths are also increasing. It is worth noting that as the mining depth gradually increases, many problems such as high ground stress, large deformation of surrounding rock, rheology, and high ground temperature appear in the well. The general tunnel pick is difficult to deal with, and the use of tunnel teeth with strong wear resistance, long life and high hardness will become an inevitable trend in the construction of deep mines.
We have always been at the leading domestic level in the research and development and production of tunnel teeth. In the first half of last year, the tunnel project of a coal mine in the eastern part of Shanxi Province was successfully completed on time thanks to the strong performance of the tunnel teeth. According to the analysis, the tunnel line of the coal mine passes through mudstone, fault fracture zone and coal seam, the maximum burial depth is 350m and the driving distance is long. To this end, the coal mine organized us to conduct a confrontation test with an imported brand of picks to select products with better performance through comprehensive evaluation.
The comparison results show that the quality of our tunnel teeth is superior to that of the same imported brand in terms of wear resistance, impact resistance, and service life. Especially in the environment where the rock formation is hard and the geological conditions are extremely complex, the life of the imported brand pick is short, and the shank is seriously broken. Relatively speaking, our tunnel teeth can work longer and have better performance indicators. In fact, based on the complex tunneling and mining environment, the use of ordinary pick construction not only has high construction risks and high costs, but also has a slow construction speed, which cannot meet the construction period requirements. On the basis of fully summarizing the characteristics of the picks at home and abroad and the technical experience of coal mine roadway construction, we have solved the problems of large wear, many fractures, short life and insufficient impact resistance faced by the tunnel teeth in the long-distance tunnel excavation one by one. Due to the large temperature difference between day and night, the low temperature in winter and the high hardness of the rock formation, a special coal and rock cutting plan was designed.
